Multi-Activity Residential - February Half term

February half term - not your average residential.

Come and join us as we take to the Brecon Beacons, staying in a Youth Hostel, where we have hired the whole hostel exclusively for ourselves! We'll be there from Monday to Friday (5 days) during the half term.  Imagine, waking up to that glorious mountain and valley view each morning - it's something spectacular.

For those who are seasoned adventurers with us, it's great to be able to go and explore a different location.  For those who are brand new to residentials, it's an amazing adventure to get started on.  What we're saying, is there will be something for everyone.  Take a family holiday, but now add a few more members.  This is what our residentials are like.  You see the group, our  Adventure Seekers, look after each other. You see them play games and become children again, away from technology and screens. Most importantly, you see them have fun and develop.  They'll come back tired, but only because  they've had so many adventures throughout the week!

Staying in the Brecon Beacons, there is so much to do and explore.  The price currently includes:

  • travel from Bedford
  • food for the week
  • Activities and challenges

So what are we currently planning to do?

  • Firstly, wake up to the mountain views each morning!
  • You'll be planning some local walks. You'll get to see some amazing sights as we go around the local area.
  • Depending on the numbers (and equally the weather), we may also do some indoor climbing and see if we can do some indoor high ropes. There may even be a chance at an indoor zip line!
  • We're also planning to take our bikes for some awesome bike rides in the local area and beyond!
  • The Edusports Cooking Challenge will be happening!  Not only is it time for it to change, it's time for you to learn how to cook.  Presentation will be included in the judges comments.  What will we be cooking? Well that's down to you and the team to decide!  Make sure you stick within your budget!
  • There's also an amount of games to keep them entertained off of technology!

Our team are pros at residentials.  We've spent many camps away over a series of weeks and weekends. When we did the last challenge week (Summer Holidays 2026), one of the parents commented after, "he is more mature and little more listening". What can we say, apart from, yes, it's true.  Our residentials allow children to help grow up. They learn to become more independent, learning how to help look after themselves.  They learn important life skills like cooking, and helping as well as working together as part of a team. But most of all, you see the group make friends and develop important relationships with each other creating memories which last them for years to come. They overcome challenges, which initially at the beginning of the week, they would've needed an adult help sort out.

What will your children eat throughout the week?

That's a good question!  We start off buying some of the food at the beginning of the week, but that's only to get us started.  We always do another food shop throughout the week, and this is where they come in.  We've had so many different options in the past, taking into account who is there and what they would like.  It's full of nutrition and we always encourage the children to try something new. But we will make sure they don't go hungry! Most importantly, they will eat a variety of different food, which isn't junk, and will be involved in the cooking from the  beginning (and most even start asking to come and help us with this!).  Even better, they get involved in the washing up too!
