Duke of Edinburgh - Gold Award
Participant review - April 2026:
Our DofE Gold practice expedition this weekend was an amazing experience for me and my team. Having not had much luck going through schools or other external providers for DofE expeditions, Edusports tops them all with high quality, challenging and enjoyable expeditions under the leadership of highly skilled and qualified instructors. Huge thanks to Chris and the team for facilitating our team to complete our practice exped this weekend - we are all really looking forwards to our qualifying expedition later this year!
Join us as we embark on an adventure. An adventure that is all about you. At Edusports, we believe that sports education should be more than just physical activity; it should inspire growth, confidence and lifelong skills. Our participants often tell us we're not like other providers. That's why many return year after year.
Through joining us on the Gold DofE Award, you will gain a qualification, which will help to build employability skills and give you lifelong memories. Throughout your participation in the programme, you will take part in 5 different sections, all of which must be completed to achieve the DofE Award. These are:
- Volunteering
- Physical
- Skills

Cost
We understand that participating in this sort of activity can be expensive. We do have a range of kit which we can lend out for a small fee to help cover wear and tear, allowing your child to still be able to participate fully. We also have access to funding from DofE. Please talk to us and see if we can help.
Please note we are currently confirming the cost as this will vary depending on the mode of transport and number of participants we get.
